Safe and Healthy Communities
Why is This Important?
Quick response to high-priority calls is critical for protecting life and safety. Monitoring average response time helps ensure emergencies are addressed promptly, reduces harm, and builds community trust.
What Does It Mean?
In Q1 2026, deputies arrived on the scene of a priority one call in 5 minutes or less 25 of the 56 times, or 44.64% of the time. Deputies arrived on the scene of a Priority one call in 8 minutes or less, 42 out of 56 times, or 75%. If P8 calls (I70 corridor) are included, these change to 31 of 78 times, or 39.74% and 50 of 78 times, or 64.10%. This contrasts with Centennial stats of 74.07% and 90.74% respectively. Priority one call times are tracked from when the call for service is answered in the communications center until a deputy arrives on the scene.
