Safe and Healthy Communities
Why is This Important?
Co-responder use increases safety for everyone involved in a call for service with a mental health nexus, provides an increased level of service by providing resources, and saves time for deputy sheriffs who may be better utilized for other services.
What Does It Mean?
In Q1 2026, 325 mental health calls came into dispatch. Of those calls, 308 were responded to by co-responders. This makes the co-responder program utilization rate 94.77% for Q1 2026. The target for this program is to remain about 90% utilization rate. This measure receives a green status for Q1 2026.
