Tracking data related to the Homemaker Program enables the County to better support older adults in our community—particularly those living on fixed or limited incomes—by proactively addressing factors that contribute to housing instability and reducing the risk of homelessness among this vulnerable population.

What Does It Mean?

In Q3 2026, the Homemaker Program experienced some turnover. However, both part-time staff and chore services worked together to ensure nearly all clients received service. The open positions have been posted, and are expected to be filled by the end of October.

Despite staffing issues, the Homemaker Program resulted in 99.52% of clients remaining in their homes. This is above the 75% target resulting in a green status for this measure.

The Homemaker Program serves income-qualified, older adults and persons with a disability by providing free light housekeeping and assistance with heavier household chores. This measure indicates the percent of participating clients who are able to remain in their homes.
