This rate indicates the ability of the Investigations Section to see cases through to their conclusion. It helps determine performance as well as resource needs.

What Does It Mean?

Definition

This measure tracks the percentage of cases assigned to the Investigations Section that were closed (filed, deactivated, or otherwise resolved) compared to the total number of cases assigned during the same time period. Results are categorized by priority level (e.g., Priority A cases include high-priority incidents such as homicide, felony assault, and in-custody cases).
