Violent Crime

This measure tracks the violent crime rate of Unincorporated  Arapahoe County against the average violent crime rate of the following 8 agencies:  Adams County, Jefferson County, Douglas County, Littleton, Englewood, Centennial, Aurora, Denver. Violent Crime refers to the following: murder, non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assaults. 

530 crimes per 100,000 residents.

Larceny

This measure tracks the larceny rate of Unincorporated Arapahoe County against the average larceny rate of the following 8 agencies:  Adams County, Jefferson County, Douglas County, Littleton, Englewood, Centennial, Aurora, Denver.

Larceny refers to the unlawful taking, carrying, leading, or riding away of property from the possession, or constructive possession, of another person.

Burglary

This measure tracks the burglary rate of Unincorporated Arapahoe County against the average burglary rate of the following 8 agencies:  Adams County, Jefferson County, Douglas County, Littleton, Englewood, Centennial, Aurora, Denver.

Burglary refers to the unlawful entry into a building or other structure with the intent to commit a felony or a theft.

Motor Vehicle Theft

This measures tracks the motor vehicle theft rate of Unincorporated Arapahoe County against the average motor vehicle theft rate of the following 8 agencies:  Adams County, Jefferson County, Douglas County, Littleton, Englewood, Centennial, Aurora, Denver. 

For the purposes of this measure, a motor vehicle refers to a self-propelled vehicle that runs on the surface of land and not on rails. Examples of motor vehicles include sport utility vehicles, automobiles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, motor scooters, all-terrain vehicles, and snowmobiles.
