Number of individuals served – community corrections

Why is This Important?

These residential community corrections facilities help offenders to reintegrate into society, receive supportive services, and build productive ties. Tracking the number of individuals served through the community corrections program is essential for understanding the effectiveness of this initiative.

What Does It Mean?

In Q1 2026, 376 individuals were served through the Community Corrections program. While this is a decrease from Q4 2025 where 402 individuals were served, it remains over the target of 260 individuals served.

Definition

Arapahoe County provides judicial services programs through the Community Resources Department. This department administers alternative sentencing programs for the 18th Judicial District and Arapahoe County courts. This means direct sentencing into a facility rather than time in jail, or placement into a facility upon release from prison. This measure tracks the number of unique individuals in residential community corrections facilities by type including transition, diversion, and condition of parole.
